Anansi is fascinated by it all, but he's also found some things perplexing. He can't quite figure out how people talk to each other through those phones they always carry. He also finds himself annoyed by the lack of politeness in some situations. But Anansi is a spider god, after all, and he's not one to give up. He's already started on a series of schemes to make his mark on America.

Trading in my/Swapping out for/Bidding farewell to the familiar comforts of America, I embarked on a new chapter/leg/stage of my journey, landing in vibrant/bustling/lively Nairobi. The energy here was palpable, a blend of modern life and ancient traditions.
